2023 - 20 years Prime Vision

In 2003 we transformed from a research department into an independent company and created the brand of Prime Vision.

2022 - Innovation Now

In celebration of CEO Eddy Thans’ 25th anniversary, Prime Vision is hosting its first major event of its own, Innovation Now.

2022 - Prime Vision opens American office

Following successes in North America, we have opened an office in Richmond, Virginia.

2021 - The largest sorting project with AMRs

Joint production VDL Groep and Prime Vision of 750 robots for the North American market.

2019 - Dirk van Lammeren – Chief Commercial Officer

Dirk van Lammeren is added to the management team as Chief Commercial Officer.

2017 - 3 award wins

The first version of the Autonomous Sorting solution is developed. Prime Vision wins 3 international awards.

2016 - Next-gen platform for Deutsche Post DHL mega-hub

The Next-gen platform for Deutsche Post DHL mega-hub in Germany is developed.

2015 - Provider for largest UK mega-hub

Prime Vision becomes the automation provider for the largest UK mega-hub project for DPD Geopost UK.

2013 - Key partner for major offshore coding

Prime Vison becomes a key technology partner for major offshore coding in Asia for the UK and The Netherlands.

2010 - First project as systems integrator

For An Post we do the systems integration and development for a major re-design of the Irish automation platform. This is the first project where Prime Vision acts as systems integrator.

2008 - Landmark project in Australia

A major landmark project for Australia Post is won.

2006 - True global player

Prime Vision becomes a truly global player, including projects in the USA and Israel.

2004 - The first international project

2003 - Additional investments

TNT (former PostNL) acquires 60% of the shares of Prime Vision. Additional investments led to an independent entity: Prime Vision B.V.

1994 - Handwriting Reading with low error

A recognition engine reading handwriting on documents with remarkable low error is developed. A world-first!

1990 - The first reader

The first complete reader for the Dutch Postal Service was developed.

1961 - HYCRâ„¢

The High Yield Character Reader (HYCRâ„¢), the core technology of Prime Vision was invented.

1956 - A research department

What would become Prime Vision starts life as a research department of the PTT.
