What is Projection Sorting?
Prime Vision created an advanced projection sorting solution called the ‘Flow Projector’.
The Flow Projector identifies a parcels destination by reading its barcode and then projects the number of its sorting destination directly onto the parcel with a laser beam. By tracking the movement of the parcel, the Flow Projector is able to keep the projected number constantly on the parcel until it is collected from the conveyor.

Flow Projector: High tech, high impact
One of the key advantages of the Flow Projector is the technology within. The Flow Projector contains recognition sensors, laser projector technology and vision recognition software. This makes the solution not only incredibly versatile but also remarkably valuable for its large capability. The plug-and-play system allows it to be incorporated into most existing sortation systems, further reducing the need for large investment costs.
Flexible integration into the existing sorting system
The Flow Projector offers flexible integration into the existing sorting system. The project commences with a site visit to determine the optimal positioning for the Flow Projector within the customer’s environment. This assessment takes into account various factors, including ambient lighting conditions, the feasibility of utilizing a suspended structure, compatibility with the sorter for attachment, and the potential necessity for a mobile setup.
Following this evaluation, usually we conduct a proof-of-concept configuration. If necessary, we will also capture images to aid in the precise calibration of the Flow Projector. Subsequently, we will finalize the setup configuration. Our dedicated installation team will then oversee the deployment of the setup.
